Learn Pluck in 60 Seconds

Three players. Seventeen tricks. No running score. Miss your number and somebody may get stronger off your hand next round.

1) The Deck

Start with a standard deck. Remove 2♦, 2♥, and 2♠. Keep 2♣. Add both Jokers. Total cards: 51.

2) The Job for Each Seat

Dealer needs 7 tricks. Left of dealer needs 6. Right of dealer needs 4.

3) How the Hand Starts

First round has no plucks. After that, earned plucks happen before play begins. The dealer declares trump. The player with the 2♣ leads the first trick.

4) What a Pluck Is

A pluck means you pass a card face down to another player, and they must return their highest card in that same suit.
